Is there an virtual attendance option?
Yes, you can attend the Institute live in person or virtually. The registration rate is the same for both options.
Can I attend a portion of the program as live in-person and the remainder as virtual?
To ensure you receive Continuing Education credit, participation must be completed in a single format—either fully live in-person or fully virtual in real-time. Choose the option that best fits your schedule.
How do I receive access to the virtual platform?
Approximately one week prior to the Institute, all registered attendees will receive a password protected link via email to access and download the Institute materials.
Will continuing education credit available?
Yes, all attendees must submit the Proof of Attendance Form after the Institute to request continuing education credit. Virtual attendees will be required to confirm their real-time participation during each session by responding to polling questions. Please check the Continuing Education page of our website for specific details regarding your profession and jurisdiction.
Will attendees be able to view the 60th Annual Heckerling Institute (2026) sessions after the live presentations?
Yes, attendees will be able to view recorded videos of all the sessions on the Institute platform until March 25, 2026. Continuing education credit will be granted only for sessions attended live in person or virtually in real-time.
Can I switch from In-Person to Virtual or Virtual to In-Person?
Yes, click on Switch Attendance Format.
Note: Attendees will only receive Continuing Education credit for one program format, either live In-Person or Virtual in real-time.
Can I Transfer my Institute Registration to another person?
Yes, complete the Transfer Form and email the completed form to Heckerling@law.miami.edu.
Can I purchase printed materials or a USB Flash Drive?
Printed materials and USB Flash Drive will not be available.
When can I pick up my badge for the 61st Institute (2027)?
The Registration Desk opens the Sunday before the Institute begins, on January 10th from 1:00 - 6:00 p.m. at the Orlando World Center Marriott Resort & Convention. Attendees enjoy picking up their badge while they network with colleagues the afternoon before the Institute opens.
The Registration Desk reopens on Monday, January 11th at 8:00 a.m. and Tuesday - Friday at 8:30 a.m.
